This customized MS Computer Engineering degree program with a specialization in System Level Design is targeted to meet the business needs of Lockheed Martin Space Systems Company. The objective of the program is to equip students with the latest technology, methodologies and CAD tools for developing today's complex electronic systems involving processors, complex functional blocks, interconnections, firmware, operating system, and hardware-dependent application software. The program scope includes: system architecture, complex functional block and SoC design, unit and system level hardware functional verification, hardware/software co-design and co-verification via virtual prototyping, as well as unit and system level validation/prototyping using FPGAs. For the convenience of working students, the program offers one course at a time, each with a duration of 11 weeks. Courses are taught by both SJSU faculty and senior Lockheed Martin staff to mesh closely with Lockheed Martin business needs. There will be a 6 credits of project work based on case studies specific to Lockheed Martin.
