The Charles W. Davidson College of Engineering, in cooperation with the Lucas College of Business, offers a dual-degree graduate program during which students can earn two degrees: an MBA and a Master of Science in Engineering, with a specialization in Systems Engineering.

Cohort Style

The MBA/MS Engineering dual-degree program is delivered via a cohort model, specially designed for working professionals. Classes and program schedule are predetermined so all students start and graduate at the same time, catering to the interests and lifestyles of busy professionals in Silicon Valley.

The dual-degree classes are located at the SJSU Lucas Business Complex in Santa Clara, CA. Each course is eight weeks long, meets one night a week and two Saturday sessions per class. Classes are delivered year-round in three terms: spring, summer and fall.

Please refer to attached for more information on the site of the program: info.pdf

There are 18 courses, for a total 52 graduate-level units that fulfill the requirements for earning a degree in both Business and Engineering. Students will graduate in three years, having acquired two master’s degrees upon completion of the program.

Applying for admission to an off-campus cohort at San Jose State University is not a guarantee that the program will occur. Cohorts must meet minimum enrollment standards in order to take place. Please be aware that in the event a cohort does not launch due to low enrollment, any and all associated application fees cannot be refunded.
